Arturo García-Alonso began work at ACI World in April 2008. He joined ACI from SENASA, the safety, security and technical services arm of the Spanish Civil Aviation Authority.
Arturo holds a master's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, with special focus on Airport Design and Management, and a postgraduate degree in Occupational Safety and Health.
His previous experience includes an internship position in Aena Aeropuertos; project management assignments with an airport planning consultancy firm; and process re-engineering with Acciona Airport Services, the Spanish ground handling company.
At ACI World Arturo is focused on a range of facilitation, information technology, innovation, public health, operational security and service quality issues, taking the role of Secretary to the ACI World Airport IT and Facilitation & Services Standing Committees, managing the ACI ACRIS initiative, and serving as ACI Airport Service Quality (ASQ) training instructor.
Arturo became an ICAO AVSEC Professional Manager in 2009, obtained the EFQM Excellence Assessor degree in 2010 and the ICAO-ACI AMPAP Associate Diploma in 2011. He is a member of the ACI Global Training faculty since 2008.
