Known as 'China's No.1 Gateway', Beijing Capital International Airport (BCIA), which was completed in 1958, is the only large international airport in the Asia-Pacific region to operate three terminals, three runways, and two control towers. By the end of 2013, the airport had played host to 92 airlines, with 236 destinations and the passenger throughput had reached 83.71 million, ranking the second in the world.

Shanghai pudong International Airport was completed and came into operation in September 1999. Currently Pudong Airport possesses two terminals and three runways and is served by 84 airlines offering flights within a network of 106 international(area) cities and 88 domestic cities. In 2012, it witnessed the handling capacity of 361700 movements, 44.8802 million passengers and 29.382 million tons of cargo and becomes one of worldwide busiest airports.

The 65,000-plus workforce at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) is committed to delivering the highest level of customer service and providing travellers with a delightful airport experience. In 2013, HKIA received a record high of 59.9 million passengers while scoring 4.84 out of 5.00 in the Airport Service Quality survey, which was also a record high score. Over 99% of the survey respondents rated HKIA as excellent or very good.
To meet growth demand in the medium term, the Airport Authority Hong Kong is investing over HK$12 billion in developing new facilities. While 20 aircraft parking stands entered service last year, another eight stands will become operational within this year. Construction of the Midfield Concourse and the associated facilities is also progressing on schedule, and these facilities are expected to come on stream by the end of 2015. Upon completion of the Midfield Concourse, HKIA will be able to serve an additional 10 million passengers a year.
