Brief

The ACI safety risk management course provides knowledge and information necessary for relevant personnel from airport operators to understand and apply the principles of safety risk management (SRM), its processes, activities and tools, into their safety management systems (SMS).

The objective of SRM is to support safety and efficiency of airport operations through its integration into an airport operator‟s safety management system (SMS).

Benefits

Successful completion of the course will allow participants to implement the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) SRM requirements part of an SMS, required as part of the certification of airports as introduced in Annex 14.

SRM processes, its activities and tools are presented in an operationally relevant manner, which integrates both human and system performance in airport operational environments, and which will facilitate the implementation of an airport safety reporting programme, as part of an airport operator's SMS.
