Airport Executive Leadership Programme (AELP) *
A unique career-building opportunity for the future leaders of the global airport industry.

The Airport Executive Leadership Programme (AELP) fosters the development of strategic management skills, preparing individually selected candidates to handle senior-level executive responsibilities, and creating a network of future airport industry leaders.

Targeted at future CEOs, Deputy CEOs, or Vice-Presidents of airport operating organizations, AELP aims to develop airport-industry leaders and to advance the professionalism of airport management practices.

Successful participants are awarded an ACI / JMSB-Concordia University certificate.

Objectives


The objectives of AELP are to:

  • Foster the development of airport industry leaders, assisting them to develop their leadership and strategic management skills;
  • Provide participants with advice on strategies to handle leadership responsibilities in an effective manner, global, regional and cultural perspectives, and change management techniques;
  • Create a global forum for professional networking among possible future leaders
Description

The AELP Spring 2015 session will run from April 13 to June 19 and consists of:   

  • Three weeks distance learning (commencing April 13, April 20 and April 27)
  • One week classroom session in Montreal, Canada (May 9 to May 15, 2015)
  •   Four weeks of distance learning (May 25 to June 19, 2015)

Each two-month course employs a combination of face-to-face and web-based sessions using state-of-the-art communications technology along with lectures, case studies and role play in a mock Council meeting setting. Participating airport professionals undertake the programme while remaining employed on a full-time basis and enjoy the opportunity of networking with airport leaders around the globe.

How to Register

Entry into the programme is by selection, based on recommendation from the applicant’s chief executive and also a letter of motivation.
