The content will be fully managed by ACI personnel with a specific section dedicated to ACI World committees. The site was previewed at the Lisbon ACI World Conference in October 2004 where it received approval by the ACI Airports IT Subcommittee. The site is receiving favorable acceptance among our member community, and the statistics already show increasing usage. The dot.aero domain has been a major factor in the success of the site, in that search engines can be more specific in locating ACI whenever the word "airports" is a subject of the search. The supplier of the new service is a Geneva-based professional services organisation, RGIS, which is also an ACI World Business Partner. RGIS, a global organization, has operations in Geneva , Switzerland , in Vancouver , Canada and Amsterdam , the Netherlands . ACI HQ is pleased to announce that RGIS is now in a position to offers similar services to all ACI member organizations. For more information contact RGIS directly at rmoore@rgis.ch. You can expect quality of service and tailored follow-up directly from RGIS management. Some of the main assets of the new ACI website are: RGIS is an Oracle Worldwide partner. Oracle software has a very strong presence in the airports and aviation sector which is why RGIS expects a marriage between airport data base environments and web content management solutions to become stronger over the next few years. | |
