Worldwide Airport Traffic Reports for June 2006 - 28/07/2006

Geneva – ACI’s Paxflash report for June 2006 indicates that passenger traffic continued to rise with the world’s airports reporting a 4 percent increase as compared to June 2005. International passenger traffic rose by a robust 7 percent, whereas domestic growth was flat.

For the first six months of the year, worldwide passenger traffic increased by 4 percent compared to the same 6-month period in 2005, with international traffic increasing by 6 percent and domestic by 2 percent. 

 

International freight traffic FreightFlash report shows a continuing upward trend, with total freight handled worldwide in June 2006 rising by 3 percent compared to June 2005, and with international up  5 percent and domestic traffic down 1 percent.

 

The first six months indicates total freight rising 4 percent with international freight increasing 6 percent and domestic growth flat.
