GENEVA, 1 June 2007 – Airports Council International reports that passenger traffic at airports around the world has continued to grow, with a 4 percent increase in April 2007 compared to April 2006.
DUBAI, 14 March 2007 – Delegates at the Airport Business and Trinity Forum this week were treated to a high-class roster of speakers representing airports, commercial operators and suppliers – the so-called ‘Trinity’ of players involved in airport commercial revenues. Focusing on the theme of “The Big Picture”, the speakers addressed an increasingly central role for the industry to ensure commercial success in the aviation sector and a better offer for the travelling consumer.
GENEVA, 14 March 2007 – A first in aviation training was announced today by ACI, the trade association of the world’s airports, and ICAO, the UN specialised agency for international civil aviation. The Airport Management Professional Accreditation Programme is a global initiative jointly launched by the two international organisations that leads to the issuance of the I.A.P. (International Airport Professional) designation, whose holders will be recognised as having acquired comprehensive, expert knowledge in the field of airport management.
DUBAI, 12 March 2007 – Incheon International Airport in South Korea once again gained top honours in the 2006 Airports Council International (ACI) Airport Service Quality Awards held overnight in Dubai. The awards recognise customer service efforts made by airports taking part in the ACI programme and are based on responses to a survey of passengers conducted throughout the year.
