Vancouver, 21 September 2010 ― Angela Gittens, Director General of ACI World, urges airlines to refresh their understanding of airport business requirements in the interest of greater future cooperation and long-term industry stability. Speaking on Monday at the Global Aviation Strategy Session in Vancouver hosted jointly by ICAO, the World Bank and Routes, Gittens highlighted three fundamental characteristics of airport business – infrastructure overhead and maintenance, long-term financial commitments and new capacity building in a growth market.

Geneva, 4 October 2010– ACI World’s August PaxFlash and FreightFlash confirms the softening of growth expected for the second half of the year. International traffic expanded by 6.3 percent year-on-year trailed by a 4.9 percent growth in domestic traffic resulting in an overall passenger number increase of 5.6 percent in August.
Geneva, 3 June 2010 - For April 2010, airports experienced an overall decline in passenger traffic, the first global decline since July 2009. Although domestic traffic increased by 2%, the 5% decrease in international traffic resulted in a decrease in total passenger volume of 1.2%.
