Montréal, 02 December 2011 – Global passenger traffic at airports grew by over 2 percent, year over year, in October 2011. Both international and domestic passenger growth remain in positive territory, at 3.3 percent and 1.5 percent respectively, despite the observed risks in global markets.

Montreal, 16 NOVEMBER 2011 – At the ACI World 21st Annual General Assembly, members of Airports Council International unanimously passed three resolutions reiterating their intent to promote safe operations in a global regulatory environment.

MONTREAL, 8 November 2011 – At the 21st Annual General Assembly for Airports Council International in Morocco, the world’s airports unanimously supported a resolution aimed at maximizing capacity and avoiding delays. Airport Collaborative Decision Making (ACDM) is a proven tool that can assist airports who are already capacity constrained, particularly by improving the overall efficiency of aircraft turn-round and the pre-departure sequencing process.
Montréal, 07 November 2011 – Despite the on-going fears of a global economic slowdown, overall passenger traffic remains unfettered with year-over-year growth reaching +4.8 percent in September. The positive growth is attributed to a buoyant rise in international travel where traffic has grown by +6.6 percent.
November 1, 2011 - Marrakech, Morocco – Yesterday at the ACI World 21st Annual General Assembly, members unanimously passed a resolution urging ICAO to intervene with regard to the proposed European Union Emissions Trading Scheme. Airports recognize the risk to trade conflict and are extremely concerned about the potential negative affects this would bring to international air transport.

Montréal, 06 October 2011 – In August 2011 2.9% more passengers passed through airports worldwide compared to a year earlier. International traffic grew by 4.3%, whereas domestic passengers increased moderately at 1.7%.
