Nina Brooks joins ACI World as Head, Security - Aug 10, 2015

Montreal, 10 August 2015 – ACI World has announced the appointment of Nina Brooks as Head of Security. Nina will be based in ACI World’s Montreal, Canada offices, reporting to ACI World Director of Facilitation and IT Antoine Rostworowski and overseeing all of ACI World’s activities in relation to Security. Her role encompasses working with industry stakeholders such as the International Civil Aviation Organization and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) on joint security initiatives; leading the ACI World Security Standing Committee; and playing a key role in the development of ACI World’s new Airport Excellence (APEX) in Security programme.

Global passenger traffic continues along growth path with increase of over 5% in the first half of 2015; air freight volumes show signs of subdued growth - Aug 10, 2015

Montréal, 10 August 2015 – Global passenger traffic increased by 4.2% year over year for the month of June while international and domestic traffic posted growth rates of 5% and 3.6% respectively. Air freight volumes showed more modest growth for the month of June at 2.1% year over year. International freight experienced weakness as volumes inched up by only 0.9%, whereas domestic freight traffic increased by 4.8%.

Robust 6.9% growth in passenger traffic, air freight growth dips to 1.3% during May - Jul 13, 2015

Montréal, 13 July 2015 – For the month of May, passenger traffic continued the pattern of strong and stable growth seen over the past 12 months. Total passenger traffic increased by 6.9% as compared to the previous year, while international passenger traffic outpaced domestic traffic at 7.3% versus 6.7%, respectively. 

Passenger traffic increases year on year by over 5%; moderate growth in air freight volumes for April - Jun 15, 2015

Montréal, 15 June 2015 – Global passenger traffic increased by 5.6% for April 2015 as compared to the previous year. International passenger traffic grew by 4.8% year-over-year whereas domestic traffic grew by 6.4% for the month as a whole. While all regions reported gains in passenger traffic, most of the buoyant activity stemmed from the emerging markets of Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Latin American-Caribbean regions, with passenger traffic gains of 9.4%, 8.2% and 7.1% respectively for the month of April.

Seoul’s Gimpo International Airport inducted with distinction into ACI’s Director General’s Roll of Excellence - May 20, 2015

Montréal, 20 May 2015 – Airports Council International (ACI) World is pleased to announce that Seoul’s Gimpo International Airport has been inducted with distinction into the 2015 Director General’s Roll of Excellence. The airport achieved the number one position in the 15–25 million passengers category in the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) passenger satisfaction survey for five consecutive years. 

Robust growth in air transport demand for first quarter of 2015 - May 11, 2015

Montréal, 11 May 2015 – According to the latest statistics from Airports Council International (ACI) World, global passenger traffic increased by over 6% for the first quarter of 2015 and by 7% for the month of March as compared to the previous year. International passenger traffic grew by 6.8% year-over-year whereas domestic traffic grew by 5.7% for the period from January to March 2015.
