Montreal, 23 May 2017 –  Registration is now open for the 27th Airports Council International (ACI) Africa/World Annual General Assembly, Conference & Exhibition , taking place from 16–18 October 2017 in Port Louis, Mauritius  . Industry leaders from around the world will convene to explore solutions to a wide range of challenges under the theme “Bold leadership in a time of change.”

“The conference has been developed from the ground up to give delegates the chance to deliberate on issues of particular interest to airports,” said Angela Gittens, Director General, ACI World. “In an industry where change is constant, the theme of this year’s conference recognizes airports play a crucial role in the economic and social health of communities, countries, regions and the world at large, and they must craft a strategy for their sustainable development to continue providing those benefits.”

The conference’s session topics will include:

  • Recognizing leadership
  • Creating a strong security culture
  • The road to success – Learning from the world’s best airports in customer experience
  • Taxes, connectivity and sustainable tourism – Barriers to and opportunities for growth
  • Technology and Innovation – The airport digital transformation
  • A view from ACI’s World Business Partners

ACI will also host the ASQ Awards   Ceremony at the Gala Dinner on 17 October 2017 to celebrate those airports whose customers have rated them the best in delivering an excellent experience. Prior to the main conference will be the popular series of forums on the topics of safety, customer experience, commercial revenue enhancement and environmental stewardship.

Members of the media are invited to cover the conference, which will include opportunities to meet airport executives from around the world, as well as to gain access to the trade show featuring exhibitors with the latest products and services for the airport industry.
