6th Annual ACI Airport Economics & Finance - Part 1
Retirement Luncheon: Roberto Kobeh González (2006-2013) who served as President of the ICAO Council
On 22 November 2013, ACI held a retirement luncheon for Mr. Kobeh González to pay homage to the tremendous contributions that he has made to the sustainable development of the international civil aviation industry. The luncheon was held in collaboration with the Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation (CANSO) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
2013 ASQ Airport Forum Europe
Airport Service Quality (ASQ) is a comprehensive ACI initiative to help airports in their continuing efforts to improve the quality of service experienced by passengers. Five core programs provide practical management information and advice specifically for the airport industry. The 2013 ASQ Airport Forum for Europe the annual meeting of participants in the Airport Service Quality Program brought together delegates from around the region Milan, Italy from 25-27 September. The Forum is designed as a working group of airport managers and is open to all airport representatives interested in learning how to effectively manage passenger satisfaction. The ASQ Airport Forums are an essential part of ACI’s commitment to sharing best practices and helping airports improve the quality of service provided to passengers. By attending the ASQ Airport Forum, delegates were presented with the opportunity to meet with colleagues from around the region and discuss the challenges and opportunities for improving the quality of airport services, share best practices as well as gain a deeper understanding of passenger satisfaction. Airport Service Quality (ASQ) is a comprehensive ACI initiative to help airports in their continuing efforts to improve the quality of service experienced by passengers. Five core programs provide practical management information and advice specifically for the airport industry. The 2013 ASQ Airport Forum for the Middle East/Asia/Africa, the annual meeting of participants in the Airport Service Quality Program brought together delegates from around the region in Doha, Qatar from 10-12 September. The Forum is designed as a working group of airport managers and is open to all airport representatives interested in learning how to effectively manage passenger satisfaction. The ASQ Airport Forums are an essential part of ACI’s commitment to sharing best practices and helping airports improve the quality of service provided to passengers. On June 11, 2013, Airports Council International (ACI) honoured recipients of its annual 2012 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards and inductees to ACI’s Director General’s Roll of Excellence during the ACI Europe and World Annual Congress &amp; Exhibition 2013 Gala Dinner and ASQ Awards Ceremony at Ciragan Palace Kempinski.

Flightpath to Rio+20
18 June 2012 - Tthe International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) with support from the Air Transport Group (ATAG), launched “Flightpath to a Sustainable Future”. This Rio+20 initiative is the first ever series of connecting flights powered by sustainable alternative fuels. ICAO Secretary General, Mr. Raymond Benjamin will travel from Montreal to Toronto, Mexico City and São Paulo on flights powered by various blends of sustainable aviation biofuel for Rio+20, the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (20 to 22 June 2012). Airline partners include: Porter Airlines, Air Canada, Aeroméxico and GOL. Aircraft partners include: Bombardier, Airbus and Boeing.
